My Handbook

About Me

Hi, I'm Scott 🧑‍💻

I'm a builder, 2x girl dad, 3x founder, and tech leader invested in what creates the environment to foster high performing teams.

As one of the founders of EverMore — the career companion for anyone who feels stuck at work — I care about individuals owning their career, maintaining visibility, and helping people grow in ways that advance them both in work and in life. I've been a CTO in tech startups for over 10 years and I've interviewed my fair share of developers and I've seen resumes of all stripes. We are going to help you to showcase your talents and abilities as well as stay visible in today's competitive employment marketplace.

Fun Facts About Me

What I Value

Honest and open feedback

I believe that the best work happens in an environment of radical candor. I prize honest, open feedback above all else—even when it’s tough to hear—because I’d always rather have the truth than a more comfortable alternative. If you have a critique, I won't just "take it"; I’ll be grateful that you shared it.

Ideas are meant to be shared

My approach to innovation is rooted in the belief that great ideas are rarely born fully formed. I enjoy the process of stress-testing concepts through research and diverse perspectives. I’m not "precious" with my ideas; I want them to be questioned and refined until they are world-class. I'm not afraid to share something early that's not fully baked and riff on it.

Do what you say you'll do

Finally, I live by a simple standard: If I say it will get done, it gets done. While I understand that priorities shift, I pride myself on being the person who moves heaven and earth to meet a commitment. If an obstacle arises, you’ll hear from me immediately—because reliability and communication are the bedrock of any successful partnership.

How I Can Help

I love ideating and strategic thinking — generating options, building plans, and then putting them into action. I start from first principles and apply ruthless prioritization to cut through what's tangential, because clarity is what gets you to the goal. If I can help you think through a problem, pressure-test a plan, or find the simplest path forward, that's where I thrive.

I'm passionate about building technical solutions that are elegantly simple and precisely fit the problem at hand. Simple doesn't mean easy — as Pascal put it, "I would have written a shorter letter, but I did not have the time." That pursuit of simplicity through rigor is something I bring to every project, and it's what I'd most want others to know about how I work.

What drives me is creating compounding value — systems and architectures that are reliable, easy to maintain, and keep delivering returns long after they're built. I'm energized by work that stands the test of time, not just solves today's problem.
