About Me
Hi, I'm Kelsey π

I'm an early-stage startup recruiter, leadership coach, and 2x founder helping creative individuals, managers, and leaders navigate career and company transitions β building confidence in their career, aligned with their north star, without pretending to be someone they're not.
As one of the founders of EverMore β the career companion for anyone who feels stuck at work β I care about individuals owning their career, telling their story, and landing the role that leverages their strengths and growth path. I've been a Recruiter in tech startups for 7+ years and I've seen the gamut of resumes that never tell the full story. We're trying to flip the script and make it even easier to showcase who we are to employers who want to know us holistically, not just what we can do for them.
I also created @ragingatwork because I got tired of pretending workplace frustration isn't data. Rage, when channeled right, is one of the most powerful career tools you have β and I'm done letting people suffer in silence when their instincts are telling them something important.
Fun Facts About Me
I'm a singer-songwriter (performing as Kelsey in Paradise) β I've been writing songs since age 6, studied Music Business (with an emphasis in voice + opera), and started my career in non-profit arts before finding my way into tech.
Born + raised in Chicago, and I've lived in San Francisco before calling Austin, TX home.
I have 2 cats (Icarus + Buffy) β discovered I'm allergic after the fact, but we make it work! π
"Grease 2" is an all-time favorite film, I collect German Christkindlmarket mugs, and I sort Skittles in rainbow order before eating themβ¦
My personal brand is simple: show up as myself, no matter what β hot pink, authentically bold, and a bit rage-y (in a good way). A company once asked me to change my hair color, and that experience became a defining reason why authenticity is non-negotiable for me. It's also one of my career stories that inspired me to build EverMore and my @ragingatwork social media presence. Unfortunately, I'm one of many who have had to shrink themselves to fit someone else's idea of "professional."

What I Care About
Career-as-a-Product β a career isn't just a list of jobs and bullet points. It's a story, a package, and a value proposition. I help individuals think about the problems they've solved, the impact they've made, and how to present themselves honestly and compellingly. I also help companies think about what they're actually looking for from the people they're hiring, because the best talent matching happens when both sides show up with clarity and transparency.
Cultural Leadership β no matter the level or role, everyone plays into a companyβs culture. It matters who we hire (especially at the top), promote, lead initiatives, and how we communicate + engage with each other, whether remote or in-person.
Helping people lead authentically β I coach managers and individuals to build confidence, clarify their leadership style, and show up as themselves (not a corporate robot). I believe the best leaders are the ones who know themselves deeply and lead with intention, no matter their level or role.
Rage as a career tool β most people are told to suppress frustration at work. I believe it's information. The anger you feel when you're undervalued, overlooked, or asked to be someone you're not? That's your instincts talking. When you learn to channel it instead of swallow it, it becomes the thing that moves your career forward.
Thinking like a scientist β questioning what I know, how something functions, and taking an experimental approach to see what might work better. I enjoy coming up with hypotheses, getting lost in a deep flow state, and tracking progress to make sure itβs working effectively.
